Keiser

Published

Good Afternoon,

I was looking into going to Keiser University but I want input from past or present Keiser students for the Nursing Program. Was it worth it? Did you get a job in that field ? How much overall? We're you able to further your RN degree to a bsn or MSN at another school? Stuff like that any input would be greatly appriciated . I messed up in my community college I was going through some stuff and messed up with my grades therefore I never finished my degree so I feel as if this is my only option is to do these private schools. Any input from anyone would be great. Thanks :)

I am not a student at Keiser University, but I do work with a couple students from there. I will say that Keiser has a bad reputation around here for having bad instructors. Same with all other pay-to-play nursing programs. I would contact hospitals nearby to find out if they have a problem with Keiser or other schools like it, because some students have a hard time getting hired.

I go to Keiser Orlando. I've had a great experience. I've finished my pre read and ready to start for spring. The nursing program has excellent pass rates (that is public info on FL board of nursing website) there are small class sizes (24). You get what you pay for. My program director calls me once a month to check in. Their clinical are at our local hospitals (FL hospital and Orlando Health) and new grads have no issue getting a job. I can only speak for the Orlando campus. Not sure where you are.

Have you went through the interview process. I'm attending Keiser and I'm waiting on the committee to meet next week to see if I'm accepted or not.

I have not gone through the interview process as of yet. I'm retaking my TEAS next Thursday and may possibly transfer to the Sarasota campus for the accelerated BSN. We will see.

What part of TEAS are you retaking? I'm hoping I get in. If not then I'm thinking about the Lakeland campus.

Everything except for reading. I missed math by 2 points 😒. I was running low on time towards the end and started rushing. Let me know how your interview goes

Did the interview. I took TEAS 5 times so that really missed me up. Dr.Rose told me it was okay but in the interview the lady told me that was too many times, so I'll have to see what the committee think when they meet up. I'll let you know how that goes í ½í¸ Good luck on your TEAS. You can do it!

Wow during the interview they said that was too many times? That's intense. This will be my third time. I took it once a year ago and then 2 months ago. We'll see what they say.
