KCC ADN Fall 2021

Published

Wanted to see if anyone else applied for the KCC ADN program for Fall of 2021, and see what everyones stats are like.

Prereqs: 2 B's, rest A's

Co-reqs: both A's

TEAS: 89.3%

BLS certification, not sure if this counts for the medical work experience, but I submitted my certificate to try LOL!

This is my second time applying. Hoping for better luck this semester :)

Hello. I have applied as well. Wow, your TEAS score is really competitive! Awesome!

my stats:

Prereqs: 1 B, Rest A’s

coreqs: All As

TEAS: 83.3%
experience: Completion of CNA program

This is my first time applying. Don’t think my TEAS score is competitive enough, so my plan B is to apply to the LPN program this Fall. Good luck & I wish you the best ?

@ellomello

Thanks so much for sharing! You have really good stats! With your grades and medical experience I think you have a really good chance.

Wishing you luck as well! Fingers crossed we can both make it.

hey! how did you do with your TEAS score? did you get in to the program? going to apply to the program for next year and wondering how high of a score I really need.

@liyah21  I did get in!! So excited to get started this fall. I applied for Spring of 2021 as well and didn't get in with an 84.7 TEAS. When I emailed the nursing department they said those getting accepted were all in the high 80's so I would shoot for that! Good luck

Nice! What did you use to study for the science portion? I purchased the mometrix book and going to start studying soon.

I used that same book! It was super helpful. I took all the practice tests in the back, and they have some online ones as well. It's a lot of anatomy and physiology with some other topics like periodic table, cell structure and function, etc. If you have good understanding of each body system and how it works you'll do great.

I applied too! When do we hear back?

I called a couple weeks ago and the lady who answered said they’ll send letters possibly around Oct. 13. I read in other threads that people also got their decision letters around mid-late October.

Good luck!

I got mine last week around that time. Got listed as an alternate, so here's hoping I get in this semester.
