I know a lot of people have stated that Kaplan is mainly for test taking strategies. Do you suggest reviewing the content prior to taking the Kaplan course? Or start Kaplan straight out of school?
Thanks for the responses

I took Kaplan right out of school. They provide you with a good amount of information in the book they give you and their questions. It's up to you whether or not you want to use other sources. Hopefully that's helpful.

Personally, I don't think the classes cover enough content compared to the Saunders comprehensive book. There are many conditions that weren't covered in the kaplan online course. I guess the Q trainers/bank made up for it, which in my opinion is great. However, I wasn't studying fresh out of school.(had a year off, long story why)
Yeah the classes are more about teaching you how to take the test. The qbank and qtrainers are much harder than the questions in the Saunders book. But for content the Saunders book covers a lot more material.

At my school, we had an exit exam so I actually took kaplan a month before I graduated while still in school. The first day, I reviewed content from the book before, but after I didn't. The thing with kaplan, is just it is a lot of questions. They are trying to train you on how to answer the question, not necessarily content so I wouldn't focus too much on that. I would just review my weak areas, at least thats what I did and I passed boards with 75 questions.
Hope this helps
