Kaplan and NCLEX prep

Hello All!

I take the NCLEX in two weeks. I have been doing kaplan for about a month and a half, and doing qbank, trainers about 5 days a week. Learning a lot. However, my test scores are not that desirable....mostly in the mid 50's and some high 40's, some low-high 60's...rarely above 60.

I had a friend tell me that as long as you are 50% or higher you should be fine for the NCLEX, as it is just pass/fail, and as long as you get over 50% right you will pass. I want to see if that is true.

Thank you for your help in advance, thank you!

My scores ranged from 58-63 and I passed the NCLEX the first time around with 75 questions. I suggest you take as many Qbank questions as possible, I took all but about 100 questions and found that it helped me tremendously.

I did the in class prep and the online resources (Qbank's and trainers) - my scores were always solid 60's, I even emailed them to see if I should be nervous or postpone the test - they assured me as long as I was staying above the 60% line that I should be ok - I would email them for a realistic evaluation of your progress and how to proceed - I will tell you this - I took the NCLEX yesterday and felt like it was easier then the Kaplan tests - I still have no results - but it shut off in 75 and I may or may not have tried the PVT trick and cannot reregister - so fingers and toes crossed .....good luck
