I am enrolling in the LVN program at the San Diego Kaplan location, this is the first time I've ever heard of the HESI exam. My advisor told me quite a little bit about it but nothing in detail... Have any of you taken the test? What should I be studying? Any website out there that would be helpful??

I have taken the Hesi this past Wednesday at Kaplan in North Hollywood. It is sooo easy. Math was like 60 questions. most was ratios, division, subtraction, addition, conversion, decimals and fractions. vocab was just that....vocab. Reading comp was basically the meaning of the paragraphs and summary. there was learning style as well. At my school we needed a 70 percent for the test in order to get accepted. I thought it was 70 in each section, but it wasn't. ensure you ask your admissions rep exactly what score you need to pass. I did not study, and was able to do fairly well. Mind you that I also graduated high school in 1993. Good luck with your test! I am sure that you will do well.

Hey, well most of the HESI questions are really easy! The only tricky one would be a&p but if you took it very recently then you should do fine in that section. ...Also for math, Mike is right. Loads of fractions and decimals, I just bought 5th grade math workbook and practice on that, but you can find practice problems for fractions online too.
Good luck! Let us know how it goes!!
