I decided to try to total Kaplan Nclex RN review. It's only my second day but the Decision Tree seems complicated, pointless & time consuming. I guess my question is does it really help on Nclex & has anyone only used Kaplan just for the Q Bank, Videos, & Q Trainers.

people say it helps but i personally thought it didn't work all the time. I rather use my knowledge and if theres a question where I don't have a clue then maybe i can apply the decision tree...

I used Kaplan as it was provided through my school. I tried to make the decision tree work for me but I found it to be pretty useless overall. The only portion I used on the NCLEX-RN was eliminating options that were "psychosocial." In my opinion, Saunders strategies were far more useful.
What are the Saunders strategies?
Thanks so much everyone.

I used Kaplan and the decision tree. It helped me out. At first it was hard to get use to, but I started doing it automatically after awhile. I took NCLEX yesterday and am still waiting for my results. But all the signs are pointing toward me passing. I think it depends on what you need. Do you need more content or practice questions. I thought the Kaplan questions were very similar to NCLEX. The difficulty level is almost the same, but I thought that Kaplan questions were a bit harder.

I got mostly SATA on my exam last month but for those questions that the decision tree fits, I used it and it was most helpful for me. I passed with 75q. But still it's up to you. Know what strategy will help you.

Kaplan definitely didn't work for me. It's expensive and I think goes through a lot of unnecessary steps. I found that NCLEX 4000 was the best and closest style questions to the test. If you know that CD in and out then you will pass NCLEX. Don't waste your money on Kaplan.
