just started nursing school now all these bad things are happening.

im going into my third week of nursing school and its seems like so much is going on around me. one week before school a close family friend died, i miss the funeral due to clinicals, me an my fiance are going through something, like he is just trying to start arguements, school is already overwhelming and i got my first big test in fundamentials on wednesday, that i havent been really able to study for cause my 2 yr old had pnemonia. on top of this today my bestfriend got into a car accident and broke her, leg, foot, wrist, an suffered head trauma. i feel like im being tested. i just dont understand how things could get so crazy as soon as i started the program[/quote']

Oh my gosh, I can totally relate! I am now in my second semester of NS but last semester was hell!

During my first semster, my parents were BOTH diagnosed with cancer... My mom with skin CA (which has since been removed and she is fine, thank God) and my dad with stage 3C Colon cancer. He is doing well now also, Thank God! My finance's uncle (who owned the business my fiance worked for) was admittied to ICU for 3 weeks before passing away. That left my fiance to take over the business or have no job. So, we went for taking over the business and had to come up with over $20,000 to get everything going. While that was going on my motor in my car went out, so we were down to sharing one vehicle to get me to school and him to work. Then a few weeks later, his motor went out too!! So, we had to throw down another $4,000 to get that fixed. I also almost lost my daycare assisstance and my daughter's medicaid and had to battle that. Then to top it off, it was asthma season for my daughter as well.

After alllllll of this, I still managed to pull off a 4.0 in my first semester of my BSN program. I am not trying to praise myself, I just want you to know that it can be done. It was absolutly horrible, and I felt as though I was being tested as well, and still feel that was the case. If you want this, you CAN DO IT! I think that I came out better and definetely stronger for it in the long run, and you will too.

I'm sorry you are going through all of this, but keep your eye on the prize and it will be yours! :)

Stay the course. If your BF isn't supporting you now, is that likely to get better? He might be trying to sabotage your success, don't let him. He probably doesn't like the lack of attention. Real men support their women, not drag them down. Hang in there...
