Heya!
I just have a small question (well probably big for me) about my Arizona license. I have a RN license (I got it in Feb 2009) and currently jobs are just nearly impossible for me to find (I've looked everywhere).
But I just wanted to double check and see if my Arizona license will transfer to any of the states listed here- https://www.ncsbn.org/158.htm
Is that how it works? I really don't wanna go where my license will not work- especially if I can't find a job there. But at the same time if Arizona doesn't work out I would like to start looking into other places too. But I just wanted to be sure that I do have the understanding of this down right.
Thank you so much for your time! :paw:

Yes you are correct. As long as you maintain residency in Arizona (which is a compact state) you gain practice rights in other compact states. You will need to contact the BON for the state you find a job in, sometimes there is a small administrative fee to transfer your license but it's really not hard to do. I had compact status when I lived in NC. Good luck to you
Awesome! Thank you so much!

Keep in mind, though, that, as highlandlass1592 notes, your AZ license is only good in other compact states as long as you maintain your permanent residence in AZ. If you move to another state to work, you'll have to apply for a new license -- if it's another compact state, your AZ license will become void (you can only hold one compact license at a time), and, if you move to a non-compact state, it will revert to just being a "regular," traditional license -- you'll still have it, but it will only be good in AZ.
