Just failed...

Hello everyone,

I am new here. I just had my first nclex exam this morning, did the trick and had a bad popup meaning most probably I failed the exam.

I would like to take the exam again. By the way I am here in Manila, Philippines. I applied for the state of illinois. I would like to ask for help regarding re-taking the exams:

1. Can I apply again right away? or wait 45-90 days before applying? What papers do I need to re-submit? Can I start with eligibility now and then att after 90 days? I am really confused.

2. And if you could please tell me the step by step procedure for this and the links too because the website is just too confusing.

I will gladly appreciate your help guys. I'm just so depressed right now.

Thank you very much...

hi

you can apply right away, just apply 45 days after the date of your exam at the pearsonvue website

Before you do anything, wait until you receive confirmation that you actually failed the test, since the pop-up trick has been known to occasionally be wrong.

If you did fail, you will need to wait between 45-90 days to retest--the time period varies based on each state's BON. Contact your state's BON to find out how long you have to wait before you can take the test. I think you can apply right away--you just have to schedule your test after the waiting period.

PVT is pretty acurate! take few day off studing, cry, sob, scream then get over it! pick up books and start again, you are familiar with the type of questions so go for it as soon as you are eligible to take it (45 days) I used learningextension NClex review (by NSCBN), and kaplan strategies book, very challenging but it worked for me. I studied at least 4hrs a day for a month before my exam. most importantly BELIEVE IN YOU and go for it. you are not alone, I passed the second time.

I'm from the Philippines, too but taking the exam here in LA on November....Yup just wait for your official result first before thinking of applying again...from what I know you have to wait 45 days before you can sched...Don't worry of not passing it the first time you are not alone :)...just do better on your second try (study harder and focus)...YOU CAN DO IT !!!
