I just failed my first pharmocology test. I'm so upset about it. It makes me wander if I can pass that nursing school at all. We still going to have 3 more tests but my first score was 66. There is just so much material to study for every class that I do not even know where to start. I just probably need to be more organized with my time. Next week we are having 3 tests. It freaks me out just thinking about it. Thanks for listening. Any study tips to share?

Be cool and go slow. I failed my first Pharmacology test, making a 69, going through it too fast and not taking the time to check my answers. I did a lot better after that...and so will you! :)

My pharm teacher says that no one has ever passed any of her first pharm tests. Most of the times the first test in any subject is the hardest because you dont really know what to expect (ie how this particular teacher makes her tests). Don't let this one test keep you down!

I agree with the previous posters. You have to take one test to know how a teacher tests. Pharm is a tough subject. Don't let this one test bring you down. Let it drive you to do better in the future.
My advice to you would be is to study a little everyday so when time comes for the test all that basically you have to do is review. That is when I do my best on tests. When I wait until the last minute, I do not do as well as I probably could have.
Take a deep breath and hold your head up high. You can do it!!!!!:) :)

Just remember to always use ratio and proportion in your dosage calculations. What really helped me out alot in my nursing classes was getting the textbook study guide and answering all the questions on the syllubus. That way I was able to scan the book to find the answers. I also used 3 X 5 cards, taped my lectures and transcribed the lectures to my pc. (Thanks to a medical transcription class I took). If you try to read all the chapters you will fall really behind and you won't retain anything. Most of the instructors take their questions from the study guide, the syllabus and the lectures. Hope this helps. Hang in there. I was dropped twice from my program and went on to graduate and pass my NCLEX. You'll do great!!!
Thanks for ecoureagement , guys!
