OK, PLEASE give me any advice, I need to decide this problem by tomorrow. (so i can let the school know not attending if i shouldnt go)
I am currently an LPN who has been accepted into this great Xray technician program which I had planned on doing for a couple years but after i looked into it, it seems as though there are not many x ray tech jobs after graduating.
I am scared to go into the program for two long years if I cant even find a job after. Do you all think I should do it or else apply on a waitlst for my RN???
PLZ PLZ PLZ ANY advice will help me!

That is a really tough choice. There is no guarantee that in two years you will find a job with either profession. The economy may be just as bad as it is now. Either way being a Xray tech or a RN finding a job as a new grad will be very hard. You have to decide what you feel drawn to more.
Is the Xray tech program less then a year long? If so maybe do that. That way you can have LPN and Xray tech under your belt and give you more options. Being a RN myself I would usually say go the RN route but new grads are out of work for months before they find jobs.
Lots of soul searching for you to do tonight. Whatever you decide will be the right choice because everything happens for a reason!!!
Good luck!!!
Thanks... well i am an lpn and the xray tech program is 2 years long including summers....
??? so im way confused... i feel like thats alot to put into something that might not be worth it.
plus maybe im happy with nursing??? you like your job alot???

Oh, I didn't know the xray programs were so long. bummer. well, if you are happy with nursing then go for nursing. Have you looked at the pay differences? Maybe that will help you decide?? With nursing there are so many differnt "branches" that you could take unlike Xray where you would be kinda stuck in that same area. Yes, I love nursing, but I can not find a job for the life of me! I moved to a state that has major financial problems, so no one is hiring. It is a very bad time for new grads.

the good news is that you are already a nurse and have something to fall back on. if you get your rn at least you will have nursing experience already.
