Job Prospects

Hello, I've been an LPN since 2011. I have home care experience and correctional nursing experience. Seeking a job in a nursing home/ long term care facility( no exp. there as a LPN). Where can I get hired. I'm in Michigan. Thank you in advance.

    Have you tried indeed.com and maybe a HCR manor facility be ready to work but it was a good company to work for as a CNA and i do plan to return after I finish my LPN they have plenty facilities throughout the state good luck

    I'm a LPN in Michigan, and I feel confident in saying finding a LTC job as a LPN with 4 years experience should not be hard. Of course, having LTC experience would be ideal, but they will be happy to take a nurse with years of any sort of experience. I'll echo the Indeed advice. Just google "LPN jobs whatever city" and the first thing to pop up will be Indeed.

    Metron and HCR manorcare are large chains in the state that are always hiring. If you're in the western part of the state, Spectrum has a couple very large skilled nursing centers. Up north there are a few state-ran nursing homes and state-ran psych hospitals. Also, if you live way, way up north, I'm under the impression that hospitals up there still hire LPNs on their med/surg floors.
