Job performance

Hi,

I fear my job may be in jeopardy. I was placed on a performance based contract and told that I needed to improve in "critical thinking" and "documentation" (the stuff that nurses kind of need).I have given them evidence of me improving but I don't think they re still happy.

I didn't get the training I asked for at the start to understand the environment and have been suffering depression and seeing someone for this. All my other previous employees have had no concerns with me.I feel confused and scared and not sure what I will do after this?

I think you should quit this job and apply for another one. Trust me, nothing is worth more than your emotional wellbeing. It usually takes people a while to find their right jobs.

Also, i'm sick of idiots who call themselves "critical thinkers" but all they do is just sitting on their asses, gossiping and filling paperwork, and can't even do a wound dressing properly. You don't have to bother dealing with those bit-ches. They're like a swarm of insects drilling and spoiling the Australian healthcare system. Bad karma for them!

Indeed, they sound like they're not very cool people.

Thank you all for your feedback,I ended up resigning the day after 4 of my "collegues" put me in a room and told me they would be recommending my contract to be terminated and not to apply "for a few years" and "get experience". I applied to another nursing job and am loving it and have the most supportive collegues.

I am wondering however if I have to bring any of this up with AHPRA when I renew my registration as there is a part that says " has your right to practice at a hospital or any other health facility been withdrawn because of performance"

I ticked no because as I said,I resigned before the whole termination could take place but because I was under a performance planning assessment do I have to let the know this?
