Newbie here. Batch '07 graduate and still jobless. :crying2:

I've recently been called by a hospital in QC and passed the first screening which is an interview. Next would be a psycho exam, and I am just completely clueless about it. Help guys,

What is commonly asked in psycho exams?

Tips on job interviews in general, this thread might be of immense help to people in the same standing as me.

I was on the same spot a couple of months back. I'm not sure what to prepare for. It's been two years since I graduated and I've had zero experience.

What I brought along with me during interview is confidence and humility. I speak English quite fine so I think it was a plus. I had the confidence to say I can do the tasks but the humility to admit that I don't know everything BUT I am eager to learn everyday. I got a volunteer job at last.

@Love_RN Your attitude of admitting to not know everything but being eager to learn is really one of the best traits a nurse regardless of the experience. Heck, even my supervisor carries this attitude (and she has 30 years of nursing experience under her belt).

@wintercold I don't know if this would be helpful for you or not but when I was up for psychological screening for a government hospital (permanent position), they asked us to draw some things and write an essay about ourselves. Then the head of the psych unit gave us an interview which was actually quite probing. I answered all of them truthfully as it was critical because it was a nurse position for a mental/rehab institution and I really wanted to find out if I could handle it >_

Anyway, before that, I was hired as a nurse contractual (general) and the questions were about your work attitude and ethics, perception about nursing, expectations about the work, your strength and weaknesses and what could you contribute to the institution. A warm, confident, and professional tenor of answering the questions also helps. Good luck!
