I will not be graduating until the middle of May, but our entire class will be going to a huge Job Fair here in a couple weeks
I am under the impression that recruiters for both various hospitals and also schools will be there
As I am planning on moving up to Little Rock after graduation (which is where this Fair is being held) and working as an LPN while starting my pre-reqs with the intention of bridgeing to an RN Program as soon as possible, I was just wondering if the vast amount of knowledge and experience here on this board would be willing to give me a few suggestions
Any suggestions on what I should be looking for or asking of potential employers and schools?
Anything at all would be greatly appreciated

I started to write out my own advice but this site seems to have hit the nail right on the head. Their highlights are:

Develop some questions you'd like to ask employers
Proofread your resume - at least twice

Dress the part

Use your research to appear confident and knowledgeable
Have a firm handshake and maintain eye contact
After the Job Fair:Follow up with a thank you note
Thank you for your reply
I have interviewed a few times in my life for jobs, but never a nurseing job and have never been to any type of Job Fair
This will definately be a new experience for me in a number of ways!
I guess at this I should mainly be expecting to just make contacts especially since I will not be graduating until May
But before graduation I want to have everything lined up and ready - Both employment and education
Thanks again

Above good info.
Take with you address labels that include phone number (make em on the computer) so if employers just offer a postcard for you to fill out for more info, you can place it on them.
Learned that trick attending ANA conferences.
Make sure you have comfortable shoes.
Take a deep breath, smile as you introduce your self "Suzy Snowflake, SPN graduating May 04" and shake hands.
Write handwritten thank you notes to those recruiters who'g facilities your interested in. Keep calling them too. I hired my last employee after her multiple followup calls.
Good Luck!!
Thank you Karen
