Hello,
I'm seeking assistance because I find myself feeling stuck in my current job role as a Band 6 scrub nurse. The work has become repetitive and unfulfilling, and I'm eager to transition into a different field of nursing, specifically as a chemotherapy nurse. The challenge I face is that I've dedicated almost 10 years to perioperative nursing, and I'm uncertain about how to make a successful transition into chemotherapy nursing.
I'd greatly appreciate any advice or guidance on how to pursue a career in chemotherapy nursing. Thank you!

Hi, I know I've been away for a while but seems to me the simplest way is to apply for a Band 5 job in Oncology.
Explain your reasons for wanting the job and reduction in grade at interview.
If you get it you will have to start at the bottom and work your way up to a chemotherapy role. Although do you want to get "stuck" in another specialised role?
Good luck whatever you decide.
