job advice needed

Job 1-outpatient endoscopy clinic

m-f 8-4-paid for 7.5

you would have to send your 8 and 6 yr old children to an afterschool program every day for 1 hour at a cost of $500 a month

$33/hr is the pay (consider the pay $30 after you pay for childcare

Job 2-oral surgeon RN

m-f 8-12noon-paid for 4

so less hours but that is fine since I can pick my kids up after school

$40/hr is the pay

WHICH SHOULD I TAKE?

Which would you like better? What are the responsibilities of each? Any on call? Bennies? Money isn't everything but if you have to pick the best of two evils, than money is usually top priority.

well....................

Job 1

33$/hr x 40 hrs a week = 1320$/week........

1320$/week x 1 month = 5280$/month.......

5280$ - 500$ for day care = 4780$/month

Job 2

40$/hr x 20 hrs a week = 800$/week.........

800$/week x 1 month = 3200$/month

I guess its up to you and what you would like.... both jobs seem fantastic........

Take job #2!! You will be able to enjoy more time off for other pursuits! I think most of us here would love that.

If you don't want job #2, I'll take it!

Seriously, they both sound great. If monthly income isn't the factor, I would definitely choose choice #2. If you need the extra money for bills, then #1. They are both great choices. You are very lucky.

Take job #2. You will probably be able to drag it up to 6 hours a day most days. And the other job, you won't really be getting out on time most of the time, so the childcare will cost more. Also which place is closer to home/ kid's school? Which place do you think will be more flexible when you have to call in sick with either of the kids?;)
