I am a midlife going back to school or career change student. I am currently enrolled in ivy tech and taking some of my prereq classes. I have been hearing about the acceptance into IVY TECH is horrible and you are on a long waiting list. I thought maybe about transferring to JCC in Louisville and just wondered which school do you think is better? I am going for my associates.
I would like Galen but it is way too much $$$. This is why I am looking at these two schools
Thanks!
Also I have been in the medical insurance field for many years and sick of being behind the seens. I work in an insurance company now and it is time to get out

Hallo77, I too am at Ivy Tech and just got accepted for the spring. It was the first time I applied. There are no waiting lists, as long as you do well on the TEAS and get A's in the Pre-reqs you should be fine.

There are no waiting lists for Ivy Tech. Check out the Indiana forum, and the Indiana nursing school specific forum, there's TONS of Ivy Tech students on here and I'm one of them :) I got into the RN program on my first try, no waiting at all.
Thank you so much! Hey what did you get on your Teas scores? If you don't mind that I ask? also I am a transfer and I have a B in English 101 would you recommend retaking it?
Thanks
I got an 83 on the TEAS. I also had 1 B and didn't retake it. Retaking it totally depends on what you want to do. I got in with 196 points total.
Linda,
HOw do I get the Indiana Forum or the Ivy tech specific forum?

Every campus is different. Some campuses, a B is okay, at Bloomington, I don't think anyone got in this semester with a B. I had all As and a 90 on my TEAS.
