ITT Tech?

Don't you think the hospitals know about those little factors? Less education, lower requirements, lower standards...

They do.

As a former employee in Financial Aid at ITT Tech: Their credits will ONLY transfer to another ITT school. If you go on their website, they are made to disclose this information by Federal law now and it should be on any paperwork you receive from ITT Tech.

Many, many students have ruined their live at ITT Tech. The go there, graduate with a very substandard education and have to start over from square one at any real school they go to. Of course they now owe $100,000 in tudent loans, their credit rating is ruined, and they have used up all of their financial aid at ITT Tech. Oh, and the State Board may not even let you take the licensing exam because they do not recognize credits from ITT Tech, it varies from state to state.

I spent a lot of time tonight stalking people from old threads who were at ITT Tech 2 years ago. The things I'd rather do than study Pharmacology :)

They've all disappeared! I couldn't find anyone who has come back to report a job or complain about a lack of job.

But I do agree, current students/non students can't really tell you what you need to know. None of us have tried to get a job or transfer to another university with an ITT Tech degree!

Admittedly, I've been doing the same thing. I'm lead to believe the absence of success stories is telling.

On the issue of transferring, I've seen others say, that the University of Phoenix and Grand Canyon University will accept ITT Tech transfers. At first glance, both of these schools are appealing to me, nor are they as expensive as ITT Tech. Which is good, and affordable for me. What do you say?

Any current or former ITT Tech students care to chime in? I'd especially like to know, if any of you have successfully went the RN to BSN route at an accredited university. Another thing, is ITT Tech nationally accredited?

This will be from Stafford loans and private loans at a high rate of interest that you will have to take out when you max out all the government backed loans. The aggregate (lifetime limit) amount of Stafford loans for an independent undergrad student is $57,500.

I'm not tooting my own horn here, but I am so glad I am at the school I am at. No offense to ITT or any for-profit school, but I'd never attend them. Thank you for sharing your ITT experience. :)

I'm thinking of going to the Lake Mary campus. What sites are the clinicals done at?

I can agree with you because I also attend Breckinridge School of Nursing. At 42 I feel that I cant do a year or two worth of pre-reqs with the community college and then be put on a waiting list to attend the nursing program. I attend the WPB campus.

I attend the Breckinridge School of Nursing in Wichita, KS. I will be a member of their first graduating class in June 2013. I wanted to share a few things. Our school is actively pursuing NLN accreditation. (A school cannot be evaluated until it has graduated a class.). Also, we have recently received word that Wichita State University is going to accept our credits for their RN to BSN bridge. Plus, there are many traditional universities and colleges that have online RN to BSN and RN to MSN programs that also accept our credits.

It is also my understanding that all the locations of Breckinridge School of Nursing with graduates in December 2013 had a 100% NCLEX pass rate.
