hi everyone
i'm an italian nursing student who will be graduating on november (CAN'T WAIT!!!).
my dream is to start working as a nurse in canada but i don't know anyone there and never travelled to canada before (i've only been to the US where some of my relatives live).
I would like to know if there's any italian working as a nurse in canada or someone who can give me some information about how to get a visa and what type, how long would it take for me to get documents ready and start working and how is the canadian cost of living and LAST, pros and cons of being a nurse in canada.
THANKS TO EVERYONE.

You will need to gain nursing experience first as Canada has more than enough of their own new grads
Once you have experience look for visa and immigration information on Canadian immigration and citizenship
Decide which province you would like to live in and look at the application information for internationally educated nurses on your preferred province's college of nurses website
Your education will need to be assessed for equivalency to a Canadian BSN through national nursing assessment service

Moved to the International Nursing forum as the post covers a few different things
1) I wouldn't worry about work permit or permanent residency until you have graduated and met provincial college of RN's requirements and that can take anything from 1-3 years.
2) Decide which province you wish to live and work in and check out their website to see what requirements are. Currently all IEN's have to go through NNAS unless already in Canada working as a nurse.
3) Cost of living will vary depending on where you live and what sort of lifestyle you are looking for. Canada is a huge country with lots of different areas so a lot will depend on what you want
