i have a quick question for you guys.when we answer drug questions we have a trade name of the drug in () and it helps to recognize the drug.i heard from someone that now you don't get the trade name of the drugs when you answer medication questions in real nclex rn exam..is it true?any comments ?

I took my NCLEX (and passed) first week of this past February. As I recall the drug names were generally the generic and not the trade names.

I took the nclex-pn on Wednesday the 30th and I had generic (trade) .. I doubt they would ever take that away from future nclex takers.. It would be too confusing..

It's all a blurr but I specifically remember one question where all 4 of my answer choices were drugs and the all had both names thank God!

They give the generic and brand name. :)

Some drugs will have both names and some don't. When I took mine this past May, I had some with both the generic and trade names and some just the generic. Try to learn them with their surfaces, eg lol, pril, zole, mycin, etc.
