Is it possible to transfer rn program credits?

Hi guys. Sadly my wife fell 2pts short of passing her class. She was taking the rn program at suffolk community college on long island. She had one class left after this. I am curious to know if anyone knows if it's possible to complete the course at another school online or at the campus itself but is able to transfer her credits without having to do the entire course all over again.     I think Excelsior College is an option once you've completed 50% of an RN program but I'm not sure if that is just for RN-BSN students or first time RN students as well. As for transferring to another school, that varies by the individual school. I know one of the schools local to me will accept certain nursing credits from other colleges and another school that will accept only general education credits.
