Is this normal?

hi everyone!

i am an l&d rn hopeful and currently working on pre-reqs for nursing school.

before i ask my question i know you guys can't give diagnosis or medical advice and i do have a call into my dr. but i won't hear from him until the end of the day.

i had my daughter 8 months ago and have been nursing her(and still am) so i haven't had a period unit now. my period started on the 26th and is extremely heavy, at least for me. (a super tampon lasts less than 3 hrs) and it hasn't slowed down at all! i can even feel gushes every once in a while.

before having elizabeth (my third child) my periods have always been very light with the first day being the heaviest. after having my other two kids (which i didn't nurse) my period went back to normal.

is this normal?

thanks!

kimberly

You are correct, Kimberly.

We cannot offer advice like this. If you are concerned, place another call to your doctor. He/she is the only one who can advise you.

We hope all is well.
