IRSC students

I am just wondering what you think my chances of getting the nursing program would be? I scored a 68 in the NLN (a bit low uhh?), a 3.11 GPA and have completed all the prerequisites with A's and B's. I am trying to get in for spring 2010 and worry myself everyday that I won't make the cut to get in.

Good luck everyone!

Hey tedebare, I have a msg saying your wrote something on here but I tried to check and there's nothing, it says "Ok I need a minute to vent. I talked to one of the ladies in charge or admissions today to find..." what did you find out?

Oh its not that big of a deal, I took one of the classes that count towards our points psy2012 in high school and they only give you a pass or fail grade no A B C etc, so I called the school to find out what grade they give so I could figure out my points and she told me they give you a C. I have never gotten a C before in college. I have mostly A's. I graduated from college with a BA in Psychology with a 3.84. Also have a semester of Master degree classes in psychology and all A's and B's for that. So I was a little frustrated that I now have a C for general psychology considering that is what my degree is in. So now if I dont get into the program this term I guess I have to retake general psych, just kinda crazy. All the other classes they count I have A's in and am taking micro, so I think I am on that edge of maybe getting in and maybe not. Just have to wait and see. Did you notice how many people were on that email they sent everyone who applied. There is like 250 plus names. We've got some competition lol. Fingers crossed.

You'll get in! I never got an email, does it say IRSC there?

I hope you are right. Its an email from **** **** and its subject is ADN Applicants for Spring 2011. I would check your spam or junk mail, sometimes stuff the school sends me ends up there for whatever reason.

The email just gives you the list of the point system and says that we will know if we get in or not in 6-8 weeks.

The list of everyone's point system or just a point system? When did you get the email?

No no just the general point system. I just got the email today.

So, I also applied for the Spring 2011 program. I am getting mixed answers about everything. I'm assuming noone has gotten a letter yet, right?! Some of my friends that applied got that email from ***** and some didn't. It doesn't seem like there is a lot of consistency going on with this admission process. This is my second time applying (I'm thinking because my Micro and A&P grades weren't posted yet). I am very anxious to find out this time around. I also heard that there were over 600 applicants - much more than what was listed in the email they sent out. I think it was an accident that all of those names were released when they forwarded the second email. I'm not sure but I think we should cross our fingers and toes and hope we get in together ; )

Wow 600 applicants? That is alot of competition, who told you that? I know a few people that got in the LPN program with a 76 on their NLN, so I'm guessing not many people applied to that program because they easily got accepted in. The RN program seems so hard to get in :(. I haven't got an email or letter yet. I guess the letters for the RN program take long since more people apply to it.

Yay I got my letter today and got in :) So check those mail boxes ladies (and gentlemen) and good luck!

:yeah:congrats tedebare I told u you will get in :) I got my letter also. I am not accepted :( well I will apply for fall , but I dont know what to do with myself 6 months !!
