IRSC--LPN to RN program question

Hi guys,

This is a question regarding Indian River State College: If you complete the LPN program first and then are accepted into the RN program later on, how much time does that knock off of your RN program (i.e., 1 semester, etc)? Thanks to anyone who knows.

You can *test* out of Fundies. So 16 weeks :) I am in the program now, feel free to message me if you have any questions. I will do my best to answer or find out!

Thank you! That sounds great :) I applied to both RN and LPN programs so we'll see what happens!

Well good luck!!!! And def smart to apply to both. So many were heartbroken just aiming for RN then having not applied to LPN having to wait another cycle to start.

I agree--I know it's really competitive and I'd be happy just getting started in either program--it's all working toward the same goal! I appreciate your help :)

Have u taken ur NLN yet?? If yes, whats ur score?

For PN NLN, 152.

For RN NLN, 149.

You?

I took mine today and got 138. Do u know how to interpret the results?? It's confusing and any help would be greatly appreciated. What would be a good score to get into LPN program?

They take our composite score, which is at the top of your score report. I think you got a good score! Good luck :) You could always e-mail the program contact person, who is listed on the LPN website :nurse:

Thx a lot. I went to the NLN online testing site and found the conversion chart of composite score to percentiles. Mine is 96 and ur on top at 99. :)
