My RN license has no holds. But IPN says I cannot work for the next 2 years. What happens if if do work, and IPN finds out? PS I don't need your opinions. Knowledgeable people only, reply please.

Hello, there. Your thread has been moved to our Nurses/Recovery forum where it will be more likely to be seen by nurses who have participated in IPN programs. Good luck to you.

If IPN finds out, you will be terminated from you IPN contract, reported to the BON. Then you will lose your license. Sometimes IPN will reevaluate you to see if you have been following all their rules , etc. at the one year mark. Otherwise bite the bullet and complete IPN's contract, or get a lawyer and face the BON. Goodluck.

Why can't you work for the next 2 years? I have heard of 6 months, and in California up to a year.
But in Florida after treatment and proof of sobriety and or stability depending on the problem they will clear you to work.
Have you gone in front of the BRN

Don't know the particulars of your case, but the basic idea is this: Whatever IPN recommends is what you have to do. I don't think they can bar you from working for 2 years, though--they are supposed to help you back into the profession, not keep you out of it.
As a previous poster said, if you get caught working without IPN's approval, you will be in deep, deep doo-doo. It's not worth the risk. You'll just have to do what you're told, like everyone else in the program.
oh yeah, if you get caught then IPN will turn you in to the BON , and then you will have a blemish on your license.
