Hello, lets see if we can get this Maine thread active. I am A pre-nursing student now, any other nursing students, pre- nursing or nurses on here from Maine. Any ideas on how to get this rolling?

I live in Southern Maine and do frequently read this thread - I will now start posting as well!! I have just been accepted to NHCTC-Stratham for the fall 06 nursing program!! I had hoped to be able to apply to the "pending" program at York County Community College (closer to home) but that has yet to materialize, however, I have heard good reports of the Stratham program so am glad to be going there. Good luck to all out there with your plans and careers.
Thank You Jilly

I was just accepted to the ADN program at Northern Maine Community College. I started the process in November. Took placement tests, enrolled in Human Biology, which was a requirement for me, then the NET, then had a physical and theeeen March 30th, I got my letter. lol It seems like I've been trying to get in forever. But all in all I was lucky because there was no waiting lists here. It's still competitive but not as bad as other schools. I've lived in Maine my whole life, so I'm happy to be at home and doing this. It's a nice feeling.
Good luck!
