Introducing myself :) Starting an LPN program in the fall.

Hi everyone! I joined a few days ago and have read quite a few threads already, I figured I'd introduce myself =)

I've been a Medical Assistant for 3 years at very busy allergy/asthma specialist, and I've also worked as a nurses aide at a local hospital.

I start the LPN program in September, and I seriously cannot wait! The community college where I live has an amazing RN program, but currently there is a 3 year waiting list to get in. I plan on getting my LPN and then taking the bridge program at the community college, there's no wait that way.

While waiting for the program to start I've been finishing up my pre-reqs, this summer I'm taking chemistry, abnormal psych, and life span development.

I've heard from so many different people how hard and intense the program is, and I'm so worried about it. Do you think I'll do well considering I have some experience in the field?

Thanks, and nice to meet you all ;)

Hi, Welcome!

I just joined not too long ago. This site has been such a great help thanks to all the many people who have experience and share it all. There are so many helpful links and resources.

I think you will do fine. :-) I am just starting my pre-reqs so I have a long way to go. How do you like chem so far?
