intro to ethics?

Has anyone taken this course through OU? Spring quarter, I am taking Community nursing and culteral diversity. I am kind of looking forward to just one class per 5 week period. Intro to ethics is over the whole quarter. I am wondering how much work it is and what all it entails. If anyone has taken it...any insight? I've not yet registered for it...I was hoping to get some feedback first.

Thanks

I was going to take the next session but just dropped it. I am taking it as an intersession class instead. I found out about these classes on another board. I spoke the school they looked at every class and ok'd them all. I will be taking ethics, art, nutrition and into to sociology as intersessions classes. You can only take one at a time BUT it is well worth it!!!!!

Thanks for the information. I think I may keep the Ethics since I've already registered...who knows, I may change my mind before spring start. I may take sociology through them though over the summer, if it is offered...

Did you end up keeping the class? If so, what do you think?

I took intro to ethics with prof L and it wasn't bad at all. One discussion per week (no citations needed and doesn't need to be very long). One ten question quiz per week (you have an hour to complete it), one midterm, and one final. Both exams are non-proctored and the questions come straight from the quiz. There are essay questions in them as well, but you have like 2 1/2 hours to complete the test. Not bad at all.

Is this the class where you had to read Tuesdays with Morrie? I thought I seen that somewhere...maybe it was a different one. Thank you for your response :)

No, you are thinking of the Gerontology nursing course. That course required you to either read the book or watch the movie.

That seems like a no brainer, unless there is a catch, lol

Kelly,

I ended up keeping the class. It's with prof. l. It's a pretty easy class. As someone else mentioned, 10 question quiz each week, with a mid term and a final. discussion weekly, no references required. I do everything for this class, minus the discussion, all in one day during the week. I do my discussion and replies at the last minute typically :)

Thanks everyone for your replies. I think I will take this class in the summer. I cant see waiting and getting 5 weeks added on
