Interviewing for elementary, help?

Try to familiarize yourself with immunizations, screening requirements etc. in your state. Also, make sure they know you want to be part of the educational team, you are there to support the students and teachers. I know I was asked about special Ed kids-how would I handle kids with developmental delays, etc. depending on your role, they may expect you to know about 504 plans. If I think of anything else, I will post. Look through older posts on this thread for more ideas. We aren't on here quite as much in the summer so you might not get a lot of replies. Good luck!

During my interview I was asked, what would you do questions: what if someone hit their head on the playground what would you do and what order?, heat stroke question, children on medication, 504' knowledge, why do you want to be a school nurse? Yadda, yadda, yadda...basic interview questions, too. You'll do great, good luck!

Well I had the interview on Monday! I felt like it went very well afterward, I was told what the position entails and what all the benefits would be (even an exact pay was brought up by he interviewer!), and that I would hear by the end of the week or beginning of next week. I'm getting very anxious! My references haven't heard anything as far as I know. Keep your fingers crossed!
