Interviewing with Davita

...about to interview w/Davita...can anyone tell me what to expect?

Anyone familiar with the hours? And does anyone know what it takes to travel with them? They have centers everywhere, if I train in one place is it possible to request to go OR for a few months? Or is that not normal practice?

#1 Ask to shadow another RN. They will probably ask you about your IV skills and how much supervisory experience you have. Cuz you may be in charge in 6 months.

# 2 You'd do better traveling on your own. With a travel company. Davita could send you where ever THEY want you to go as opposed to YOU chosing where you go with a travel company. And I bet with the dialysis company it's one or two days here and there and then you stay in a hotel room and eat fast food etc.

#3 Davita and Fresenius have tried several times to have a travel division and have never gotten those programs off the ground. They don't want to hire nurses for a travel division they just wannna move the pieces ( nurses) on the checker board.

# 4 Working for Davita and making more money might not go over too well with co-workers.

As a traveler I always say to staff, " I don't work for the same company you do"

#5 The hours can be 8's 12's or 16's even. Just depends on the census at the clinic.

If you have more questions PM me. I've been doing this for 10 years and traveling for 4.

Good luck
