Interview With a Student

Hello! I am pre-nursing student looking for a nurse or any other medical professionals that could do a Q&A type interview with me for a school assignment. I would've preferred to do this in person with someone local, but my school and work schedule have made that difficult to accomplish. I would greatly appreciate any and all feedback.

Would anyone be interested in sharing a bit of experience with a newbie?

Hello, Gypsy, and welcome to AN! I do have some advice for you, but probably not what you expected: this is really not the setting to use to correctly complete your instructor's assignment. The intent of the assignment is to speak with a real nurse, an actual medical professional, one you KNOW is one of the aforementioned. An online message board does not accomplish this, and it is not uncommon to find people who claim medical experience.....whom we soon discover only has "experience" watching House on TV.

I know it's hard with your work and school schedule, but you MUST find a nurse to meet with in person. Call your local hospital, nursing home, whatever, and request to speak with a nurse. Most are quite agreeable to meeting you for a cup of coffee. Your schedule is going to go through A LOT of contortions before you graduate school; this is only a tiny hiccup in that process.

Go ahead and make those calls, then join the Pre-Nursing Student Forum for more help.

Good luck :)
