So I was called this morning by a LTC facility that I applied to last week....they said that they wanted me to come in tomorrow to take test on the computer before giving me an interview:confused:! Has anybody had this similar experience??? What kind of questions are they going to ask me???? ahhh!! I thought I was done with test taking after my NCLEX....but alas, I guess not!!! Please help!!! :nuke:

:welcome: Welcome to our internet family!

If you completed an LVN program, you are probably capable of passing any test the LTC facility presents to you. It might be a dosage calculation test, or it might even be a personality test. Who knows? I find this somewhat strange, because I have never had to test for any LTC or nursing home position for which I've ever applied. In my area, the LTCFs simply hire any warm body with a nursing license who walks past their doors, so they would never make anyone nervous by giving a test.

Thanks for the reply!!! But I went in for the interview today and it wasn't even med calculations....it was for the DON to see how well I typed and to see how I document and to introduce me to their PCC system!!! I was so scared, bc being a new grad, I'm deathly afraid of documentation and I always think I'm doing it incorrectly, since I never was able to really practice it during my clinicals since the places where I did clinicals did not allow students to document!!! Ahh...but anways...Turns out the DON actually liked my documentation!!!!!! yay!! All in all, I got the job!!! So, I'm going to be starting my orientation next week and I'm soooooooooo excited, but nervous at the same time!! ahhhhhh!! :)
