Discussion

Interview question.

What should I say to "what is your weakness?" My weakness is people dying on me. Don't get me wrong I have experienced before and remained very very professional when it comes to a situation when someone is going into cardiac arrest. I just don't want people dying on my watch. Any tips would be appreciated

I don't know if saying "people dying on me" would come across as a good weakness. I feel like that's a given for the majority of the healthcare population. Nobody likes it. I would rephrase it in a way that went along the lines of " I find it difficult to separate the emotional aspect and the professional aspect of (insert job title)." Then say what you are personally doing to try and change that. I hope this helps a little! Good luck!!
