Interview help!

Hi all,

I have a phone interview coming up in a couple of days with a nurse recruiter, and then a peer interview for a pediatric unit position (I have always wanted to work in this unit) next week.

I am just wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what specific questions they may ask? Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!

Annie

I recently went through the job change process and I got a lot of questions like:

"How do you deal with conflict?"

"How do you function as a member of a team?"

"Tell me an example of a time you went above and beyond for a patient."

"Tell me an example of a patient who challenged you."

"Tell me an example of a situation that you viewed as a big success/made you glad you became a nurse."

"Why did you apply for this job?"

And then some of the stupid strengths and weaknesses crap. I will say, however, that I was not interviewing for any staff nurse positions.

Thanks for the advise!

Hoping to god I get this job, I have wanted to work on this unit forever, and have bugged the nurse manager via email for at least three years (I used to work at this hospital)

The hospital is fairly close to home, about a 45 minuted commute, and no highway thankfully so much less traffic!
