Interview Day

I am going to a New Grad Interview day at a hospital this week. Has anyone been to something like this? If so can you give me some insight on what to expect, what I should bring ect.

Thank You

Yes! It was unlike any other interview I had been on. It was set up kind of like "speed dating". at least 5 of us were all interviewing at the same time and were stationed at different tables and then when the bell rang we rotated tables. We interviewed with managers from different floors, HR ect. and the HR table asked questions I wasn't prepared to answer at all like "what do you do for fun?" good luck!

Hi LauraRN14, I've noticed from your post that you too, are in the Charlotte area. Would you mind my asking which hospital did/do you have the new grad interview for? This Charlotte market is a killer!!

It is horrible!!! I had one at Piedmont Medical and Did the new grad day at Novant in Winston Salem. I also interviewed with Wake Forrest and was just given a job offer today!!!! I also have new grad friend who was offered a job a Wake Forrest. Its a drive but one I am willing to make. How about you?

Yeah they called me yesterday from Piedmont Medical Center. I was offered a job at Wake Forest Baptist Health in Lexington, NC. I live in Concord so it'll be about a 45 min drive but I've been applying to jobs here in Charlotte since August so I was just happy someone would take me as a new grad! Congrats on the new job! :)

Lexington is where I am going!!!!! Where will you be? I will be in the ED

Med/surg tele. Congrats on the ED!

Hey LauraRN14, when do you or did you start LMC?

I don't know the exact date yet, they said the last week of Nov. I have done all my HR stuff just waiting on nurse manager to call How about you?..... Congratulations to you too :)

I started this past week. Orientation isn't too bad. You do 3 days at Lexington and 2 at Winston. That hospital is crazy! They told me they do orientation every 2nd week of the month so maybe that's when you'll start. I'm sure I'll be seeing you bc I think my unit gets the majority of ED admits!
