Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

You are not a new grad, you are a nurse with 4 years international work experience. Some facilities have training programs for nurses changing disciplined to a specialty area such as OR, ED, critical care. These programs are for experienced nurses so that the training can focus on the speciality nuances and not basic nursing care like a new grad program works on.

Most new grad programs require less than 6 months (some are less than 12 months) experience or those that graduated less than a year ago. In that case you won't qualify.

Good luck. It's a competitive market out there, especially in the major cities.
