So, I just graduated on Friday, but I went to their hiring event on Dec 1st. I would highly suggest going.

That's great. I am assuming you still have to pass boards? Wow...another hiring event tomorrow, that's great. It seems like they are hiring a lot of nurses. Did you get a call or email to let you know you were hired and what unit did you get? When is your start date? Congratulations on being hired so quickly after graduating. For most it can be a long process.

Yes, I still have to pass boards. I am very happy that I got hired before graduating. Many of my classmates were lucky to get job offers before graduating.

Good luck on boards. I know the pressure to pass can be greater when you have a job offer contingent on you passing. Get plenty of sleep the night before. Get your coffee before you test and take your time with each question. Make sure you take breaks during the test, to refresh your mind.

Hey! How do you guys find out about these job fairs or hiring events that have been mentioned?

When you search for careers on their website there is a listing for float pool nurses open house. Anyone can go though and it's not just for float pool.

I just got my job offer today! Yeah, the best Christmas present this year. My start date is end of January, beginning of February.

There is also actual postings that will say new grad position or there may be a regular rn post that will say open to new grad.
