*before entering: wash hands, N95 mask, gown, then gloves if care situation exists that standard precautions are needed. For ex, with anything wet.

*negative pressure room, keep door closed!

*before leaving: remove gloves, then gown, wash hands.

*after leaving: shut door, wash hands, remove N95 mask, wash hands.

CONTACT:

M- MRSA (VRE)

R- espiratory infections (RSV) (SARS)

S- kin infections (scabies)

W- wound infections (herpez zoster(shingles))

E- enteric infections c.diff

E- eye intections (conjunctivitis)

*Private room or with pt with the same condition.

*before entering: wash hands. put on gown if body fluids are present, then gloves

*Equipment should be remained in the room and should be disinfected b4 being used by any1 else.

*before leaving: remove gloves, then gown, wash hands.

*place in private room or in a room with a pt who has the same illness.

*pt should be no closer than 3 ft away from each other

*caregivers should wear a mask.

*door can be remained open.

You are good to go except I would add VCHIPS for skin infection under (MRS WEE)

V- Varicella Zoster

C- Cutenous diptheria

H- Herpes Simplex

I- Impetigo

P- Pediculosis

S- Scabies
