In need of help!

Published

Hello, this is my last hope. I am completely new to this so bare with me. I have taken the NLN to apply in April for an ADN program. The first time I took it I did horribly. The second I raised the score 16%, so now I am in the 76th percentile. According to the school I need atleast 85% or better. They actually suggest 92nd or above, and I am at my end! I have studied the NLN pre-exam book, but I can't seem to get this score up and I have one more shot at taking this before the application deadline. I am a mother of 3, a wife and work now in nursing... I am not dumb, but I can't seem to find alternatives. Any suggestions, Please!!!! Thanks!

There is a big difference between your score and your percentile. Do you know if they want you to have a score of 85%, or be above the 85th percentile??? You might be able to raise into a higher percentile without actually raising your score by that much, so there is hope. Good luck!

Thanks! I know I need to be atleast in/over the 85th percentile and I can't seem to do that. It seems the more I try to do better the worst I am doing. I don't know if one section holds more weight on the test and I should be more focused on a certain section more than another. I am just so frustrated!

Have you looked into different study guides? I have not taken the NLN. I hope you can find better advice!
