most important body system?

I am in the first semester of my ADN program and I would say that you should freshen up on the kidneys and liver and GI systems. You might also want to freshen up on blood (allergic response, etc.).

I'm in my final year of a BSN degree. For pharm, study the CNS and ANS, since nearly every med seems to affect one or both of these.

As was stated, the hepatic, renal and gastro systems all play a part in the delivery and metabolizing of medications. Understanding these will help.

If you haven't gotten a good book with word roots for medical terms, then by all means invest in one now. I was lucky in that my bioloby department was crazy about knowing the Greek/Latin origin of words. I still use them to break down medical terms.

Both of those classes are bears. You can do it and it is SO worth it!

I'm not sure what exactly you mean by most important. What comes to mind first to me is what is most critical. Pathophysiology and pharmacology that affects the ABC's - Airway, Breathing, and Circulation.

Also for pharmacology maybe brush up on a list of the 200 most used drugs or the drugs for the most prevelant medical concerns. Like drugs for high blood pressure, drugs for arrythmias, blood thinners for prevention of clots and strokes. etc.

Def go over fluid/electrolytes. That was hands down the most difficult test of our semester so far in pathophys.
