impervious bedside bags

I know this will sound silly, but hopefully you can help. Do you guys use waterproof bedside bags for patient waste in your patient care areas? And if yes, can you tell me where you get them from? Ours is currently paper - not lined with wax, foil or plastic, so they are not water resistant. Thank you!

Do you mean garbage bags? Yes they're impervious to most liquids. They're plastic.

Yes, they can be used for small garbage, but I'm looking for the ones that stick to the patient's bedside (so they're fairly small, about 5" by 8"). I'm looking for something lined, so they can also be used to hold saturated dressings until they can be put in a larger biohazard bag.

We use small 9x5 pre taped plastic bags that we tape to the side table or siderail. They are waterproof, and are very handy. As to where to get them from, no idea. They are sent to the floor and we are happy.

We used gallon size ziplock bags for the bedrail kleenex type stuff.

You can get the bags from http://www.medline.com/cgi/hsrun.hs...e?GroupID=24196

and if that dosn't work, type in http://www.medline.com, and type in bags. We use the plastic bags, altough there is no pic, the plastic bags are great.

I hope this is what you wanted, goodluck...........Niall
