Immunization Tracking

I'm a new nurse and recently began a position as a nurse in a daycare center. I am responsible for immunization recordkeeping. As I am working thru it, it seems to me there must be software to help me manage this. The only I have been able to locate are in combination with entire daycare management systems. Does anyone know of software just for imm. tracking ( what's been given, next due, etc) OR does anyone have a system that works for them?

In our public school we use HealthMaster. There is also a program called SNAP. These both are used for immunization recording and also daily charting and creating form letters and much more. I don't know of software used solely for immunization tracking.

Check with the Public Health Nurse in your area. She/he probably knows who's gotten what they're supposed to, and who is due for what by just looking. They may know of a specific program. I also think that you can purchase just the immunization part of SNAP's program. The problem is that the requirements are continually changing, the combinations within a single immunization keep changing, the drug comapnies use different names, etc...

The Public Health Nurse will probably have to audit your charts at some time, so I would get friendly with her/him. They are an invaluable resource!
