The last time i posted here was 2 years ago. I failed my nclex 3 times and i think i just gave up and started to work. Now I feel like I am ready to take the nclex again. But now i'm applying to New mexico nclex. I graduated from the Philippines and the requirement of New mexico is a CES report which i paid already last dec 2012. I am a permanent resident here in NJ. Now the status of my order is "report issued" meaning they have already sent my report directly to New Mexico BON. My question is do I wait for New mexico to confirm that they have recieved my CES report and that I can already apply or I'll just go to their website directly and apply? If someone has a similar experience regarding cgfns please do share it with me.

Have you submitted an application form to the state BON? usually as an international nurse you wait for the BON to say it is OK to register with pearsonvue
no not yet. I thought that they should at least email me or confirm that they received my CES report from cgfns and that I could apply already (via download their application).
I don't think they will email you when they get CES report. Suggest you submit application to BON
okay i will do that. Uhm one more thing whats the best book I can study, cuz i haven't open any nursing books for two years.

You have to submit your application with the BON. Otherwise, even if they receive your CES report, they can't do anything about it because you do not have an application with them. Better yet, try to contact them (either through email or phone call) stating that you had your CES forwarded to them and that you intend to apply for licensure. Comply with the requirements then register with Pearson Vue. :)
The only book I used was Saunders 5th Ed. It helped me recall nursing contents I have long forgotten. But I saw that most of the members here use Hurst, Kaplan, La Charity, etc. As for me, Saunders was more than enough. :)
thank you for all the feedback. And one more thing I am applying for NM board of nursing and I was wondering where can I do my fingerprint here in NJ?
