hai, there my listening is 8,reading 7,writing 6.5,speaking 7.....they mentioned that they will accept SEM i.e,standard error of measurement.now what are the chances of my application getting accepted ?

SEM is taken into consideration and if your score of reading is 8 and not the 7 you mentioned in your first post then I would say you have a chance however who knows with the college as they are the ones that makes the final decision. What we are seeing with many provinces is some form of assessment before being allowed to sit CRNE

yep, thank you...that was a typing mistake...anyway i have mailed CARNA am waiting for its reply, how can i search for a prospective employer once i get provisional registration.

Suggest you read the Canadian forum as Alberta is going through a lot with laying nurses off not employing them

with the ielts score of overall 7.0

listening 8.0

reading 7.0

speaking 7.0

writing 6.5, which all province am i eligible to apply?

Only something you can decide. What do you want out of your life in Canada? Mountains? Coastal? rural? city?

Each province will have their own requirements and if you check out the bottom of the Canadian forum there is a thread with links to all provincial colleges for you to check out

thank you i got it. but my confusion is all the province require 7 in writing. but my score is 6.5. yet there is a SEM in most of the province. i want to know what is SEM (standard error of measurement )? is my score eligible after consideration of SEM? I would be thankful for your reply

I think SEM is already taken into consideration so you will need to get the figures they require and the score must be within 6 months of sitting to them getting your application for it to count. My suggestion is decide where you want to live, meet their IELTS requirements submit application and wait to see what they say

Hi!! I have applied for registration in Ontario. My overall ielts score is 7, with 7.5 in listening, 7.5 in reading and , 7 in speaking and 6.5 in writing. I scored 0.5 less in writing. This is the second time for giving ielts because of change in requirement in 2013.CNO says the score mention on their website includes 0.5 SEM. I don't know what does it means. I dont know what to do. would CNO accept my score or I need to give ielts again. Does anyone have any idea about this?

Hi Iam also having the same issue can you please tell how standard error of measurement of 0.5 is calculated. My score is listening 6.5, speaking 7, writing 7, reading 7 and overall 7.i applied to cno.waiting for reply.should I write ielts again.thank u

@seenachitresh your score in listening is lower than the minimum benchmark of 7.5 so you should write the IELTS again.
