This site is awesome, I have learned so much from just researching and reading the threads on this board that I feel much more confident in making my decision with who to travel with, how much I should expect, and what kind of benefits to look for. Anyways,..my names nick im 23 soon to be 24 I have about 1 1/2 years ICU experience in a busymixed sicu/micu here in michigan. I am planning to travel with my GF who is also an ICU nurse same experience. We have been looking at all of the companies and like what On assignement has had to offer. This is my question,...my car is a beater gets me to work just fine but I am in no shape to buy a new one at this time, (traveling to pay off bills) My GF car has a brand new, a very small toyota celica, but new. qw plan on driving together to the assignment and me renting a car. Whats your experience with rental cars and traveling? I am only going to be 24 when we travel in july, I think I will have to pay a young driver surcharge (like 10 a day) to rent a car. Thats like the same amount as the rental fee, it sucks. Will it matter if the agency has a contract with them, or is it just that they give you money and your on your own. How does insurance work with renting a car. Just looking for some input on what you had to pay out of pocket ,what the agency picked up, and if you have any ideas for my unique situation. Also whats your experience with the deductibles some of these agencies have on their health insurance some of them I have seen are pretty high like 1000-1500. I guess I better not break a leg or something. any input would be awesome - thanks

If your going with OA, let them pay for your your rental. They do that with alot of there assignments.
