What are some issues you experience in the ICU that occur frequently (for example forgetting to get the hourly urine) that you wish could be easier/simplified?

Not an issue, but I wish there was a way to get the 1-hr blood glucose levels without sticking the patient q hour.

agree...we have patients who already have CGM (like the Freestyle Libre) and we still do POCT glucose on them.
Are you not able to draw from an A-line? Or do they not have an a-line....

No, most DKA's we get don't need an A-line.

LOL, for those patients, we don't even use their numbers, their results from the freestyle are sometimes 30-40mg/dL off from ours.
