I Suck At Math

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm currently taking a CNA class and I'm due to finish the program 7/17. After that I'm going to take a class in phleb and EKG so I can eventually become a Patient Care Technican, then I'm going to start on my pre-req's to enter an LPN program. The prob is I SUCK at math. Can you smart ppl give me some information on what I should study so I can pass the nurse exam prior to entering the LPN program.

Thank you soooo much,

D2BN

:heartbeat:heartbeat:heartbeatWhat kind of math do you need to know for this exam ?. . . if its med calc. . that is pretty easy to learn and there are tons of med calc books or info online for that matter, that will teach you how to set up med calculations easily. Let me know. . and maybe I can be of help. . . I'm not good at math either:no:, but I can logically think thru med calc:heartbeat:heartbeat:heartbeat

That's the thing. I just want to prepare and get comfortable with nursing math. I really don't know what kind of math I need help with. LOL. For starters, I guess I would say, the math that is on the nurse entrance exams. Thank you for responding.

Hi there!!! I am a G.E.D graduate and Really Really suck at math. I got my CNA and MA Too!!! I am now soon to be going for my RN. I took the NET test and passed for the LPN and then decided to just go for RN. But anyways the math isn't hard (I mean I was seriously worried about the math part) Everyone kept saying "math isnt that hard" but they didn't know me or how BAD I struggle with math. So.. I was scared to death to take that NET test But! I passed! and you will too! Its pretty basic stuff like adding , subtracting and fractions. Know your fractions! I bet i had 15 questions with fractions. it had very very little algebra Sooo no biggy there. It was the reading that was weird. I always thought I was good at that stuff untill I took that Net test but I passed and if my high school drop out butt can pass it.. you can too! Anyways God bless you! Take care

Okay, that's reassuring because I've been worrying a LOT about the math portion:banghead:. I have 2 NET study guides and plus I'm working on problems I found at testpreview.com. Hopefully that will help.
