should I skip the bridge program?

Hello, here is my problem. I am working as a customer service rep at a great company, paying 16.50 an hour working 3rd shift and I have all the time in the world there to study there at night. The problem is the LPN to RN bridge program at the local college requires me to work one year full time as a LPN before I can enroll. The question is should I just apply as a new student and skip the bridge program? I feel the only reason I was able to pass LPN program was because I had so much free time to study at my current customer service job, because it is so slow at night. Working as a LPN, I have heard horror stories about working in LTC and not having any time to even sit down. Just wanted some input... Any advice would be helpful!!:banghead: I would love to find a job at a hospital but they are only hiring in the nursing homes in my area!

If that's the case, than i would just do the RN program straight. I totally understand that you have alot of free time at your night position, and you'll totally need it for the RN program. So keep your position as a customer service req in the meantime and use that opportunity to study for your lpn. Even if you did night shift at a LTC, you might not have the same downtime like you do now. KEEP THE JOB GIRL!!!
