Nurses Career Support

Published

Hello everyone! My name is Tehmeena Gilani, I live in the UK and in August will be getting married to my fiancé who lives in Staten Island, NY.

At the present moment I am doing a health and social care course at college. Which will finish in June. I thought about applying to be a nurse in England but if I will be getting married and moving to NY I would like to pursue my career as a nurse over there. If I move to New York next year what will I expect during the admissions process? These are the questions jumbling around in my head. It would be great if you could help me answer them.

After getting married and moving to NY. Once I become a citizen is it possible to start up my education again there and apply for a BS in Nursing? People do, do it right?

After becoming a Citizen do I have to wait a number of months before I can apply?

What would the average cost be to study?

What do you think my chances are of applying to colleges and getting a response?

I would really be grateful for any advice. I dont want to jump in blindly!

Any information would be really helpful. Thank you.
